Whip heavy cream to cake decorating can only last one day, I would like you can find a material that can be substituted in place of heavy whipping cream for practice.
How about using shaving gel, no foam, get the gel and put it in a bowl, mix thoroughly until it becomes creamy, then you can use for practice of the cake, the foam will not work, as well as light. You will have a cake that smells nice too. lol
