8 gauge power wire fuse keeps blowing?

i keep blowin threw them like hot cakes. i changed fuse holders to a better glass fuse 50a to a 100a and it still blows if i let it ride out for a song or two its an 8 gauge wire with a 1500watt amp and 2 12s that are only 500 rms each.could it be a bad ground , didnt rly scratch paint off where its grounded ???? or should i just swap the 8 gauge for a 4 gauge wire.?

A wire that thick is allowing way too much amperage to travel through the fuse. It can’t take the load. You need to look at a much higher guage wire. Wires, fuses, and such for audio parts are designed with specific needs in mind. You are probably overpowering everything. You are also looking at a fire if the fuse doesn’t blow.
